I've been buying this generic Nuheart monthly heartworm preventative medication for my Lady since about 2006, and we are nearing the end of 2014. She's old now, and still on it. Every month, I wrap one of the pills in a piece of cheese, and she gets her treat. Not sure if she loves the taste of the pill, or whether she just loves her cheese, but it's an effective medication, as she runs around on my four acres year-round and hasn't been diagnosed with any heartworm problems. The price is SO reasonable!!! I always order a year's supply at a time, usually wondering if old age will catch up to her before they're all used. But she still runs like the wind, enjoying the chase, be it squirrel, deer, rabbits or birds. I tell ALL my friends and family they'd be nuts to go anywhere else for this.

I have four Labradors and the cost of keeping them protected against heartworm is staggering....I stumbled across Pet Shed and am so happy to know that I can get their meds without breaking the bank.
