Revolution is a safe and simple way to protect your pet from a range of common parasites. It prevents heartworm disease while treating and controlling fleas (including flea eggs and larvae) and ear mites in both cats and dogs, hookworms, and roundworms in cats and sarcoptes mites in dogs. This effective medication is applied to the skin of your pet once a month.
How Revolution for Cats & Dogs works
After applying, Revolution is quickly absorbed into your pet’s bloodstream, skin, and hair, killing fleas, heartworm, and other parasites that can harm your pet. Revolution will then protect your pet for an entire month. As Revolution moves into your pet’s skin and hair, it goes straight to killing fleas, flea larvae, flea eggs, and other external parasites.

What is the proper administration of Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Revolution Flea Control is a once-a-month topical application for dogs and cats. Application is quick and easy and the product should only be applied to a dry animal. The product is waterproof, therefore, normal bathing, swimming, etc. can continue after two hours.
The correct tube size should be selected for each animal and individual tubes should not be shared between several animals. The cap on the tube should be pushed downwards onto the tube until a "click" is heard and then the cap should be removed. The hair at the base of the neck should be parted to skin level and the entire contents of the tube squeezed onto this area. Do not rub in the liquid.
The concentration of the active ingredient in the Revolution for Dog and Revolution for Cat products is different so the correct package should be used for the correct breed as noted on the package label.
The doses and pack sizes are as follows:
Revolution for Cats
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Cats up to 7.5kg - blue pack
Revolution for Dogs
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Very small dogs 2.6-5kg - purple pack
Small dogs 5-10kg - brown pack
Medium dogs 10-20kg - red pack
Large dogs 20-40kg - teal pack
For dogs larger than 40kg - use the appropriate combination of sizes.
What are the precautions when using Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Prior to the administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance.
Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested.

No More Mange!
My Jack Russell Terrier follows her instincts right down rabbit holes... fox holes... groundhog holes... and she used to come home with mange pretty frequently. My vet suggested Revolution, year-round. The dog handles it well, and has not suffered from her hole-diving habits since we followed our veterinarian's advice.

Awesome product
I have been using Revolution since my german shepherd was a puppy (4 years now) and my mom has been using it on her three shepherds for about 10+ years now and we have never had any issues with it. I live in the north east and we have all four types of ticks. I have to say that if you live near a pond and if your dog is sick (has any kind of skin infections because apparently that is a "I LOVE YOU TICKS" marker) the deer ticks get attached by the dozen but if your pet's skin is healthy you don't have to worry about anything. And even when they do get attached they still die eventually... I've never had to deal with any other parasites, not fleas nothing. The product is also very easy to administer. My dog doesn't complain at all, he sees the little tube and knows to just sit down, you our it in the middle of the shoulderblades below the neck and done deal until the next month!!! High recommended!!
Best of them All!
Revolution has kept my dog Zoe flea and parasite free for 10 years now. When I first got her from our local shelter, she had started getting some "balding" spots on the sides of her body. As soon as I used Revolution, the hair immediately started growing back in that week! I think Revolution caught the parasite just in time to save her (and me!) a world of pain and money! You just can't beat it. NOR can you beat Pet Shed! We just love the site. They've always been quick to get our products to us with absolutely no problems this entire decade.
Not just for fleas and ticks
Great product - takes care of flea/tick (even in the sandy and wooded parts of SC), as well as heartworm, mites, and other types of worms. The only time I experienced my dogs having worms was when I tried a different product for a couple months. Obviously, Revolution works. I've been using it for years.
Cats Galore
I am a cat sitter with four cats of my own. They have outdoor access to enjoy bird watching, etc. They have 29 collective years among all four and over the years have brought in bugs and geckos but no fleas. They credit that to being clever cats; I credit it to Revolution.
great protection
living in Florida is a threat to our dogs. With the regular use of Revolution my dogs are healthy and never a "critter problem". Easy to apply and they do not mind it.
Revolution for Cats
This product was first introduced to me by my vet. His cost was much higher than price at Pet Shed. It is a truly effective product. My cat is allergic to fleas by getting sores from the bites. Within days of application of Revolution, my cat was flea free and the sores were gone. Once I applied the product, my cat has not since had a problem with fleas, ticks or any health problem. Pet Shed shipping is extremely fast to the U.S.A., and I wouldn't shop elsewhere.
