Virbac Preventive 2 Month Tick Collar For Dogs
The Preventic Tick Collar for Dogs is manufactured by Virbac (Australia) Pty Ltd.
It is an easy to use product which helps control ticks, including the paralysis tick, for up to 8 weeks.
The collar slowly releases the active ingredient which migrates over the dog's entire body. The powder released is insoluble in water and has a high affinity for hair and skin.
How to use the product
This product can be used on healthy non-lactating dogs over the age of 16 weeks.
The collar should be placed around the dog's neck and fit such that 2 or 3 fingers can easily be placed between the animal's neck and the collar. If the collar is fitted too tightly irritation may occur. Any excess length of collar should be removed and disposed of to prevent the animal from chewing on it. Owners should wash their hands after handling the collar.
The collar should be replaced every 8 weeks for continual coverage.
The collar should be removed immediately if local irritation is noted.
Daily tick searches are still recommended for maximal tick protection during tick season.

One size is available, a 60cm collar.
Active ingredients
The active ingredient in this product is Amitraz at a concentration of 90g/kg. Amitraz is a neurotoxin which works by affecting the central nervous system of the tick.
Contraindications and warnings
Do not administer to sick or convalescing animals.
Do not use on puppies under the age of 16 weeks.
Not to be used on lactating bitches.
Do not allow animals to chew the collar.
Do not allow children to handle the collar.
Wash hands after applying the collar and dispose of excess collar length immediately.
Do not use this product in any manner contrary to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Seek prompt veterinary or medical attention if poisoning occurs or contact The Poisons Information Centre.

Tick Collar
this is effective. it easily removes ticks and prevents your dog from having one again. but if you have children at home, please don't use this. for this may be harmful for them.

ticks are a big problem for me especially I live in Florida. When my dog goes outdoors I usually have this feeling that he will surely get a tick when he gets back home. And I'm usually right. I found Preventic all over the net and check Pet Shed for it. Good thing Pet Shed offers Preventic. Bought one and now my dog uses it. I just replace it every two months. Now I don't worry anymore when my dog stays outdoors.

no more monthly treatment
Flea and tick treatment is usually done every month and having Preventic which is effective for two months makes it so easy. Especially I just need to replace the collar of my dog. No more struggling with him for spot on treatments. Thanks Pet Shed!
Preventic
I adopted three dogs and got a problem with ticks and fleas. I live in California and ticks and fleas are very common here. I don't want to use spot on treatments because I'm afraid they'll lick it also not that confident with chewable tablets. Good thing I saw this one and found Pet Shed also for amazing prices. Now my dogs are fleas and ticks free and they are protected.
Tick Collar
After we came back from camping, I noticed my dog scratching and scratching. And so when I check his fur I found out he has fleas and ticks. Maybe he got that from where we camp. I can't forced him to take tablets. Also, topical treatment is a dilemma for me because he usually licks the treatment. Upon searching the internet, I saw this collar and tried it. Preventic saved me and my dog. Now he's free from fleas and ticks. The chemical on the collar is so strong but it's okay as long as it does not harm my dog. And now, we can even go camping again without worrying that he'll get ticks and fleas. Great product!!
It really works!
I've read good reviews about this collar in the internet and so i tried it. And it really works! My dog never had ticks since I used this. And it is good for two months. Skip the monthly dosage
Wonderful Collar
With Preventic you don't need to have a hard time applying treatment on your dog's fur or even have trouble in making them chew the meds. You just need to put this and your dogs are tick flea for two months!!!

It's not the old school spot on treatment or the new generation chewable. It's something new and more convenient! It's a collar that protects your dogs from ticks. Sounds good right? I bought this product from Pet Shed months ago and I can say it really works! VERY CHEAP! and it lasts for two months. I recommend this product to others who's having problem with ticks on their dogs.
