Revolution is a safe and simple way to protect your pet from a range of common parasites. It prevents heartworm disease while treating and controlling fleas (including flea eggs and larvae) and ear mites in both cats and dogs, hookworms, and roundworms in cats and sarcoptes mites in dogs. This effective medication is applied to the skin of your pet once a month.
How Revolution for Cats & Dogs works
After applying, Revolution is quickly absorbed into your pet’s bloodstream, skin, and hair, killing fleas, heartworm, and other parasites that can harm your pet. Revolution will then protect your pet for an entire month. As Revolution moves into your pet’s skin and hair, it goes straight to killing fleas, flea larvae, flea eggs, and other external parasites.

What is the proper administration of Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Revolution Flea Control is a once-a-month topical application for dogs and cats. Application is quick and easy and the product should only be applied to a dry animal. The product is waterproof, therefore, normal bathing, swimming, etc. can continue after two hours.
The correct tube size should be selected for each animal and individual tubes should not be shared between several animals. The cap on the tube should be pushed downwards onto the tube until a "click" is heard and then the cap should be removed. The hair at the base of the neck should be parted to skin level and the entire contents of the tube squeezed onto this area. Do not rub in the liquid.
The concentration of the active ingredient in the Revolution for Dog and Revolution for Cat products is different so the correct package should be used for the correct breed as noted on the package label.
The doses and pack sizes are as follows:
Revolution for Cats
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Cats up to 7.5kg - blue pack
Revolution for Dogs
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Very small dogs 2.6-5kg - purple pack
Small dogs 5-10kg - brown pack
Medium dogs 10-20kg - red pack
Large dogs 20-40kg - teal pack
For dogs larger than 40kg - use the appropriate combination of sizes.
What are the precautions when using Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Prior to the administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance.
Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested.

Revolution has been the best we have tried on our Pekingese with FAD
I wish there was something that was 100% effective cause one little bite starts a cycle of itchy swollen skin that grows as he scratches and chews. Usually only find one flea when we search, but that is all it takes. It is however the most effective thing we have found. Thanks for your quick service always.
Won't buy Stronghold again!
I have used Revolution for many years with great results. This last order I decided to try the product from the UK, which was supposed to be the same, but was under the name of Stronghold. It was not the same and within a week I could see my cat scratching. I tried the product the second month with no better results. I even found a flea or two. I happened to find one Revolution I had not noticed in the cabinet and put that on the cat for the next months treatment. Within a week, no sign of itching or fleas. I will now only purchase products with the name Revolution.

Revolution is a GREAT product
I've been using Revolution for our Motley Crew of 6 dogs and 6 cats. I've tried other types of flea and tick prevention and it was messy, time consuming, and just didn't do the job. Revolution is quick, simple, applies easily,and it really gets the job done. I haven't seen a tick or flea on any of my pets since I switched to Revolution.
Great Product
This product works great for my cat and the price is right too, so products applied the the back have caused my cat to freak out in the past BUT this did not, he is healthy and happy.

I like the protection this product gives for intestinal parasites, heart parasites and fleas. My cat is well protected and he tolerates the chemicals well, it doesn't bother him. He never has fleas.
No Fleas
Upon recommendation from a friend, I have been using Revolution every month since age 3 months. Brother and sister dogs are now 3 1/2 years old. I have not experienced any signs of fleas on the dogs nor in my home. Both dogs have checked negative for worms and any other skin maladies. This treatment is also very easy to apply. The cost is fair, especially since it includes worm treatment too. I have not found this in other treatments for dogs. I can also give them a bath before or after (2 hours) without fear of washing away effectiveness.

A revolution
This is a great product. Seems to be very safe to the pets and has limited to no side effects. It is extremely effective. I was on the search for new flee protection after the flees seem to become immune to the old brand I always bought. Hopefully this one stays effective for years to come.
Works!
After having tried so many different flea products on my dogs, all of which have skin allergies, I finally found one that doesn't cause inflamed skin issues! Love this product!
