Advantix
Advantix for dogs kills fleas and ticks on contact which means fleas are killed even before they bite your dog. Advantix also repels ticks, mosquitoes, sandflies, and stable flies. Available as a simple water-resistant and spot-on treatment for dogs of all sizes and puppies from seven weeks of age, Advantix offers an easy solution to keep your pet safe against parasites.

How Advantix works
Advantix repels ticks. The great advantage of this is that it can repel a tick before it bites your dog. Any ticks attached prior to the application of Advantix will be killed by the product but will remain attached.
Advantix continues to be effective after a treated dog is exposed to water. This allows the dog to continue to participate in swimming and being bathed.
How can you properly administer Advantix?
Advantix for Dogs is applied as a spot-on treatment at skin level. For dogs less than 25kg, the entire contents of the tube are applied between the shoulder blades. For dogs over 25kg, the appropriate dose is divided and applied between the shoulder blades, between the hips, and at one point in between.
Advantix for dogs is available in 4 different sizes:
- Dogs less than 4kg - green pack
- Dogs 4-10kg - turquoise (aqua) pack
- Dogs 10-25kg - red pack
- Dogs over 25kg - blue pack
Dogs over 50kg require dosage with 2 pipettes from the blue pack.
Owners of growing dogs need to be aware of any changes in their dog's weight to ensure that the appropriate dose is given to protect their dog as it grows.
Dogs generally accept the administration of spot-on treatments fairly well. However, if your dog doesn't cooperate, using distraction techniques may be of benefit. Having another person pat the dog or offer a small treat at the time of application is often beneficial for such animals. If your dog likes to roll in the dirt or grass immediately after application, take the dog for a walk immediately after application to ensure it is not rubbed off. After every application of Advantix, owners should consider placing a marker on the calendar for the next due date to ensure continuity of protection and avoid forgetting a dose.
What are the precautions in using Advantix?
Advantix must not be used on cats or animals other than dogs. Do not allow cats to actively groom or have close physical contact with a recently treated dog. Ensure that Advantix does not contact the mouth or eyes of the treated dog. Advantix must not be used in puppies less than 7 weeks of age.

Lady Loves Advantix
Had to get something different as Frontline quit working. This is a superior product by far as the mosquitoes here in Texas are terrible and it takes care of the fleas and ticks too. I have been dealing with Pet Shed for many years because their prices are the best, shipping is exceptional and their customer service is outstanding. Never had a problem!! Will be ordering for many more years to come.
Best flea control ever!
I have been purchasing my pet care products from Pet Shed for years. I have always been very happy with the products and service. This past year, for the first time, my golden retriever and Pomeranian were infested with fleas. It was heartbreaking to watch all the scratching and knowing that they were just miserable. I had previously used Frontline on them and it just wasn't working anymore. So I took a leap and bought the K9 Advantix and was so happy when it controlled the problem! No more fleas!!! Scratch no more
After quick and timely receipt of Advantix, we applied the product as we were going out for a walk. The key selling point for us is that it not only kills bugs after biting the dog, it repels the bugs in the first place. Our dog is very sensitive to bug bites to the point where he has needed a steroid shot. This product has prevented that problem from recurring. Thanks for offering it at a reasonable price.
Itchy Dog No More
We recently moved into an apartment and the previous owners were not very responsible cat owners. They left fleas. My 8 year Shiba Inu was so itchy he would just sit and whine. I felt terrible. I log in to Pet Shed ordered the K9 Advantix and told Kit it would all be better very soon. And sure enough in a couple of days we received a package in the mail. I applied the Advantix and seriously within days Kit was not itchy any more. Yay No more fleas.
Got my order in a very timely manner. Wouldn't use anything else for critter control especially the mosquito control factor since mosquitos are a vector for heart worms, one less thing to worry about. It really works as advertised...

After frontline wasn't working in our area on our dog, we switched to Advantix. It does a great job keeping our 70-lb dog flea and tick free and it helps with the mosquitoes too! As an added bonus, Petshed has the best price out there!

This website is the only place I will buy pet meds for my dogs. They are promptly delivered at the projected date, the are 100% effective, they are the lowest price I have found online or at the vet's office, and the website is very user friendly. There is not a lot of excess packaging, which is better for the environment. Not only is Pet Shed working towards creating a greener website, but my weimaraner and my beagle have been running through heavily wooded areas and I have not seen a single flea or tick on either one of them.
