Product ContainsClindamycin hydrochloride 1% Dosage and AdministrationShake well before applying. Apply twice daily or as directed by your veterinarian. Warnings, Side Effects and Drug InteractionsClindamycin Hydrochloride is contraindicated in animals with a history of hypersensitivity (allergy) to preparations containing clindamycin or lincomycin. Use with caution in atopic animals. Patients with very severe renal disease and/or very severe hepatic disease accompanied by severe metabolic aberrations should be dosed with caution. The use of clindamycin hydrochloride occasionally results in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms such as Clostridia and yeasts. Should superinfections occur, appropriate measures should be taken as indicated by the clinical situation. This medication should be used with caution in animals receiving neuromuscular blocking agents, as it may enhance their effect. Side effects of this medication may include vomiting and diarrhea. This medication may cause the skin to become unusually dry. Consult your veterinarian if any adverse effects are noted in association with treatment.
