Product Uses

This is a human eyedrop used to constrict the pupil. It is used in animals for treatment of glaucoma. The small pupil allows for more drainage of the ocular fluid, to reduce the pressure in the eye. This product is not licensed for use in animals, however there is no equivalent drug available for use in animals as at June 2006.

Dosage and Administration

The usual dose is one drop in affected eye(s) three times daily.

Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions

Pilocarpine can cause local irritation of the eye. It tends to increase tearing of the eye(s). It may cause vomiting, diarrhea and salivation is absorbed into the body.

Storage

Store at a controlled room temperature between 59-86°F (15-30°C).
