Product ContainsPotassium Gluconate Dosage and AdministrationThe suggested dosage of RenaKare Gel for adult cats and dogs is 2.34 g (1/2 teaspoon) per 10 lbs (4.5 kg) body weight twice daily. The dosage may be adjusted to satisfy the animal's individual requirements. To initiate interest in the palatable gel, place small amount of RenaKare Gel on the animal's nose or on the roof of its mouth. Gel may be placed on the paw after initial interest has been established and the animal will voluntarily consume the dose. Warnings, Side Effects and Drug InteractionsDo not administer RenaKare in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe kidney disease or adrenal gland insufficiency (e.g. Addison's disease). Use the medication with caution in the presence of heart disease, particularly in patients receiving digoxin therapy or in the presence of kidney disease. Keep out of reach of children.
