Product Uses
Viokase-V contains activated whole raw pancreas, containing enzymes, to act as a digestive aid; replacement therapy where digestion of protein, carbohydrate and fat is inadequate due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
In acute cases, conjunction therapy to combat the disease, such as fluids and pain relief, will usually be required along with Viokase-V.
Viokase-V will replace pancreatic enzymes after surgical removal of the pancreas or in chronic cases, with gradual pancreatic deterioration.

Dosage and Administration
Viokase-V tablets are administered to the animal before each meal.
Frequent feeding, at least 3 times daily, is important.
Dogs: Initially 2-3 tablets with each meal.
Cats: Initially 1/2-1 tablet with each meal.
The dosage can be adjusted according to the severity of the pancreatic exocrine deficiency and weight of the animal.
Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions
If symptoms of sensitivity occur, treatment should be discontinued.
Storage
Store in tightly closed container in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
