Effectiveness against eggs and immature stages has not been proven. Product ContainsIvermectin Dosage and AdministrationShake well before use and apply one ampule of 0.5 mL into each ear. Massage the base of the ear to distribute the medication. Cleaning the ears prior to administration of Acarexx is not necessary to provide effectiveness. Treatment may be repeated once, as directed by your veterinarian, based upon the ear mite life cycle and the response to treatment. Warnings, Side Effects and Drug InteractionsDo not use in kittens less than four weeks of age. The safe use of Acarexx in cats used for breeding purposes, during pregnancy, or in lactating queens, has not been evaluated. In rare instances, pain associated with the outer ear and vomiting have been observed following treatment with Acarexx. Acarexx has been used safely in cats and kittens receiving other frequently used veterinary products such as flea control products, vaccines, anthelmintics, antibiotics, and steroids.
