Product Uses
Amoxi-Drop (amoxicillin) has bactericidal activity against a wide range of common organisms.
In dogs, the medication is indicated in the treatment of respiratory tract, genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract and soft tissue infections (abscesses, lacerations, and wounds) and dermatitis caused by susceptible strains of organisms.
In cats, Amoxi-Drop is indicated in the treatment of upper respiratory tract, genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract and skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.

Dosage and Administration
Dogs: The recommended dosage is 5 mg/lb of body weight. Administer twice daily for 5-7 days. Continue for 48 hours after all symptoms have subsided.
Cats: The recommended dosage is 50 mg (5-10 mg/lb). Administer once daily for 5-7 days. Continue for 48 hours after all symptoms have subsided.
Amoxi-Drop is stable in the presence of gastric acid and may be given without regard to meals.
To reconstitute the powder: Add the required amount of water to the bottle (the 15mL bottle size requires 12mL water and the 30mL bottle requires 23mL water) and shake vigorously. Any unused portion of the reconstituted suspension must be discarded after 14 days.
Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions
Because it does not resist destruction by penicillinase, Amoxi-Drop is not effective against penicillinase-producing bacteria.
The use of this drug is contraindicated in animals with a history of an allergic reaction to penicillin. If an allergic reaction occurs, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Storage
Do Not Store Dry Powder at Temperatures Above 25°C (77°F).
After mixing, refrigeration is preferable, but not required.
