Product Uses

Clavamox tablets are indicated for the treatment of skin and soft tissue bacterial infections such as wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, superficial/juvenile and deep pyoderma in cats and dogs. It is also indicated for periodontal disease in dogs and urinary tract disease in cats, when caused by susceptible bacterial strains. The broad-spectrum antibiotic is effective in rapidly killing many strains of bacteria commonly causing disease in cats and dogs and penetrates into many body tissues at therapeutic levels.

If no response is seen after 5 days for dogs, or 3 days for cats, discontinue therapy and reassess treatment. For most diseases, therapy should be continued at least 48 hours past clinical resolution. In chronic or refractory cases, it may be necessary to treat for a longer period. Therapy should not exceed 30 days duration.

Product Contains

Amoxicillin trihydrate 50mg /potassium clavulanate 12.5mg per tablet

Dosage and Administration

Dose 6.25mg/lb twice daily, as directed by your veterinarian.

Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions

Do not use in animals with a history of allergic reactions to penicillins. Clavamox has the potential to induce allergic, including anaphylactic (shock) reactions. Should you note any adverse reaction to the product, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian immediately.
The safety of Clavamox has not been determined in pregnant or breeding animals.

Storage

Store tablets in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not above 77°F (25°C).
