LOS ANGELES, California: It is a dog's life indeed, especially if you are Tinkerbell - Paris Hilton's four-legged friend. But is a life of luxury everything it is cracked up to be?
In her Hollywood Hills home, Tinkerbell no doubt has her own jacuzzi, a closet full of designer clothes for every occasion, plus jewelled collars to match. Who know what else she enjoys - her own on-call groomer who washes her fur? Head-to-tail massages and weekly skin and body exfoliation? Maybe even a manicure?
Ah, the life of a pampered pooch - the life of Tinkerbell Hilton, the beloved Teacup Chihuahua of media magnet Paris Hilton.
Tink's life could be a dreamworld. She eats the best gourmet dog food. An empty can of her chow even went on ebay for $305! She accompanies Paris everywhere - a fashionable pair. Tink may be clad in a pink angora sweater, a mink jacket, a fur coat, or any haute-couture piece, happily nestled in her Louis Vuitton carrier.
But, is Tinkerbell's seemingly-perfect life as good as what it seems on the surface? True enough, not all that glitters is gold. While money can buy her all the luxury in the world and spoil her to death, it cannot buy happiness. Reports say that Tink hasn't gotten her fair share of what every dog, rich or poor, needs most - love. Allegations of Paris abandoning her pets and changing them like she changes friends have caught the attention of pet lovers everywhere.
Just recently, neighbors in the Hollywood Hills became fed up with the way Paris treats her pets. Shelby Segall, whose yard borders Paris', told the New York Post, "She doesn't treat her pets right. They always get out of the house and roam around the neighborhood with cars dodging the little animals."

Shelby also added that Paris had a little orange cat who kept on getting out. Despite several warnings, Paris didn't seem to care about it. The kitty was reportedly run over by a car and died.
Another neighbor was quick to add, "I saw her two little Chihuahuas running up and down the busy street. I put her in my bathroom and called Paris but she was not home. It took an awfully long time for her assistant, who just lives five houses away, to come and get the dogs."
In 2004 CBS reported that when Tinkerbell went missing, Paris offered a whopping $5000 reward to whoever found her dog. She was returned after a week, but no details emerges over how she disappeared, where she went, or how she was found. It remains a mystery to this day.
In 2005, Paris ditched Tinkerbell and started pampering a smaller Chihuahua named Bambi. Reports at the time said she left Tinkerbell under her mother's care because she became too big - well, bigger than her ideal size. According to People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), "Paris treats animals like last's season's trendy bag."
Next, she was spotted with her latest pet - or should it be "accessory" - ferrets named Dolce and Gabbana. However authorities were quick to act, as it is illegal to carry around ferrets in California. Then, during a trip to Las Vegas, a small primate caught Paris' eye. She picked up a kinkajou which she named Baby Luv. She was again questioned for carrying an exotic species.

“One question looms in the minds of those following the Paris Hilton pet saga: how long before Paris dumps little Tinkerbell again?”

Later in that same year, Tinkerbell was said to be back in Paris' arms, once again her main companion on shopping trips, movie premieres and other essential engagements in a socialite's life. Despite having rekindled their friendship, one question looms in the minds of those following the Paris Hilton pet saga: how long before Paris dumps little Tinkerbell again?
It should come as no surprise to those in the know that Paris Hilton was voted the worst pet owner in 2006 by The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog magazines.
True, Tinkerbell is still with Paris as of this day, but some have speculated that the Tinkerbell spotted with Paris may actually not be the real one - just a Tinkerbell lookalike - an imposter.
Poor Tinkerbell. Hounded by the paparazzi and used as an accessory. For this pooch, life is definitely not a peach, even when you're Paris Hilton's dog.
unbelievable! and i really thought she took great care of her pets- all that luxury and everything.
Adopt me paris! i can squeeze in a vitton bag and i can eat all that expensive food! lol! arf! arf! lol!!!
It's bad enough that Paris Hilton is bad influence to the youth. Now she's managed to expand her ill attitude towards innocent animals. Somebody stop her.
i actually heard that tinkerbelle has a chanel coat!! omg! i wanted to be paris's pooch so i could get a taste of those designer clothes! lol! but after reading this, i'm happy with my flea market finds. :p
this paris hilton is really getting to my nerves! i feel like she's only doing all of these because of her constant need for attention. i think she has an attention deficiency disorder!
cnt she be arested for bein bad pet ownr?
Seriously everyone. You all have to stop giving the girl so much attention. No wonder she's so media-hungry!
Knew it! That girl is up to no good. I've always thought Tinkerbell is the luckiest pet in the world. But I guess even with humans you can't have it all. Yes she has all the bling and the LV carrying cases but my dogs have my love and affection. I guess it doesnt mean that if you buy your pets some fancy dog collar it means you love thme or they are spoiled -- i guess sometimes it just means you are filthy rich and dont know where else to put your money.
Probably one of the worst pet owners in the world. But hey Im not surprised -- can't act, can't drive, can't sing, can't take care of a little dog.
wait.. don't chihuahuas change their colors when they get older? or is this really a fake tinkerbell? i mean, some dogs fade colors or something right?
what is wrong with this girl? is she really like this or is there something to it? i dont really care about what happens to her. i am more concerned about her pets. i just hope that they are all okay.
will the real tinkerbell please stand up?
Gosh! I heard that Paris has even more dogs now!! Oh poor doggies! this girl just can't get enough accessories, er, dogs!
chihuahuas of the world unite! lol!
you think she could at the very least hire someone to take care of her pets for her!
this paris is really something else. the only thing i can say is...lady, you're money cannot buy everything. you're really some kind of work!
poor tinkerbell....she's the dog of a dumbell! wish she gets banned from having any pets at all.
sometimes being too rich is not all its apt to be. it seems that paris' richness has finally affected her mind.
Yes, Paris has more dogs now. She said that she's a huge animal lover and is there to protect animal rights and all. Yeah right! What a two-faced lady she is!
