Dogs of “Hannah Montana” star named most eligible

All-out concert access makes pets big-time.

The furry pets of “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus were voted to the top of Animal Fair magazine's Most Eligible Pets list, according to an article by the Associated Press.

Cyrus' canines, a Yorkie named Roadie and a Shih Tzu called Loco, were the magazine readers' popular choices, along with various groups of pets whose owners are known leaders in various fields such as design, law, comedy, medicine and music.

Editor Wendy Diamond explains that the list was created to give attention to pets, which lack media representation in frequent “Best” lists.

The two pooches won the heart of readers because “they're the only ones who can get the tickets to the sold-out Hannah Montana Tour,” Diamond said.

Cyrus, the 15-year-old star of the hit Disney Channel series and daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is set to extend her “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” after all 55 shows sold out in minutes. The concert has become a blockbuster that a digital 3-D film on it was released in early February in the U.S. and Canada, earning $29 million on its opening weekend as reported by USA Today.

Also in the magazine's list are terriers Jake and Bill, which inspire actress Glenn Close in writing her “Lively Licks” blog, the cocker spaniel named Oscar of designer Colin Cowie, and the mini golden doodle, Teddy, of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, among others.

Animal Fair is known on the web as the lifestyle magazine for style-conscious animal lovers.
