Every dog certainly has its day. In this case, it's a day for the beagle dog breed as well when Uno won the most coveted prize in the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club show.
There really is cause for celebration for their breed. In the almost 100 years that Westminster gave out the best in show award, the beagle, although a constant favorite has never won as top dog.
The event, held in Madison Square Garden, drew 2,627 entries that make up for more than 169 breeds and varieties. The jam-packed crowd was mesmerized by Uno's intelligence, energy and personality. It's no wonder that they cheered wildly for him when he bested the remaining dogs – two poodles, a Sealyham terrier, a Weimaraner, an Australian shepherd and an Akita – in the final ring.
Uno, whose formal name is K-Run's Park Me in First, was also awarded the title “Noisiest in the Show.”
Uno really is deserving of his prize.
Congratulations K-Run's Park Me in First!
Way to go K-Run! You are the noisiest among them all and you proved them you can bark your way to the top!
