Revolution is a safe and simple way to protect your pet from a range of common parasites. It prevents heartworm disease while treating and controlling fleas (including flea eggs and larvae) and ear mites in both cats and dogs, hookworms, and roundworms in cats and sarcoptes mites in dogs. This effective medication is applied to the skin of your pet once a month.
How Revolution for Cats & Dogs works
After applying, Revolution is quickly absorbed into your pet’s bloodstream, skin, and hair, killing fleas, heartworm, and other parasites that can harm your pet. Revolution will then protect your pet for an entire month. As Revolution moves into your pet’s skin and hair, it goes straight to killing fleas, flea larvae, flea eggs, and other external parasites.

What is the proper administration of Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Revolution Flea Control is a once-a-month topical application for dogs and cats. Application is quick and easy and the product should only be applied to a dry animal. The product is waterproof, therefore, normal bathing, swimming, etc. can continue after two hours.
The correct tube size should be selected for each animal and individual tubes should not be shared between several animals. The cap on the tube should be pushed downwards onto the tube until a "click" is heard and then the cap should be removed. The hair at the base of the neck should be parted to skin level and the entire contents of the tube squeezed onto this area. Do not rub in the liquid.
The concentration of the active ingredient in the Revolution for Dog and Revolution for Cat products is different so the correct package should be used for the correct breed as noted on the package label.
The doses and pack sizes are as follows:
Revolution for Cats
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Cats up to 7.5kg - blue pack
Revolution for Dogs
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Very small dogs 2.6-5kg - purple pack
Small dogs 5-10kg - brown pack
Medium dogs 10-20kg - red pack
Large dogs 20-40kg - teal pack
For dogs larger than 40kg - use the appropriate combination of sizes.
What are the precautions when using Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Prior to the administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance.
Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested.

This product just works!
At age 59, I have welcomed hundreds of homeless pets into my home over the years. I began using Revolution about 17 years ago and have continued to use it since. This product does what it says it will do. When I adopt or become adopted by a stray, I immediately begin dosing him or her monthly with Revolution. Flea and tick infestations clear in 48 hours or less. Ear mites are eliminated in one week or less. Minor heartworm infections in dogs have been cleared with two consecutive months of Revolution application without further or more invasive treatment. I have observed no side effects in either cats or dogs so the drug is well tolerated. I usually administer the medicine during feeding so the animal rarely takes notice. I have had cats that lived 20 years on a monthly regime of Revolution so long-term application is obviously safe. This is a product I absolutely cannot live without.

I have been using revolution for years on my cats and it's the best. They have never had any fleas, ticks,worms etc ever. We live in North Carolina so they get exposed to a lot of critters and they don't get any of their bites. I would highlr recommend this product to all animal lovers.
Execellent Product
We love this product since it is a two in one product, heartworm and flea/tick control, and very easy to put on once you can get the cats to cooperate. We always get our purchase pretty quickly considering how far away it comes. The price is very reasonable as well compared to other state side websites. Even with the exchange fee we can still get what we need for less from Petshed.com than from other pet product websites.

Really Works!
My cats have been treated with Revolution for several years now and never have a single flea. It also acts as a wormer for tapeworms and other parasites in addition to heartworm. Each application is pre-measured and easy to apply. Great product!

Revolution for dogs
Revolution flea and heartworm prevention for dogs is a wonderful product. It is easy to use (just place a few drops onto your dogs skin) and best of all it only has to be given once per month. Great for those pets who do not like to take any pills. It is well worth the price.
Great Product
Does this product make my dogs happy? You bet it does and it gives me great peace of mind knowing that my beloved dogs do not have fleas and ticks. I have purchased this product for years and have always been very pleased with it. I recently purchased a different brand of flea medicine and found fleas AND ticks on my dogs in the second week after applying the product. I live in the deep south so it's very important to keep animals on flea and heartworm preventative. Good thing about Revolution is that it takes care of fleas AND heartworms which is especially a problem in the deep south. It's also nice to not have to give them two different products to do what Revolution does in one application. It doesn't mention on the product information that this product also takes care of ticks but it does. Haven't ever seen a tick on any of my dogs until I recently tried another brand of flea and tick medicine. Revolution rocks and relieves my dogs and me from the stress and discomfort that fleas and ticks cause.
