Upon entering a small country store, a stranger noticed a sign saying DANGER! BEWARE OF DOG! posted on the glass door. Inside a harmless old hound dog was asleep on the floor besides the cash register.
He asked the store manager, "Is that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?"
"Yep, that's him," he replied.
The amused stranger inquired, "That certainly doesn't look like a dangerous dog to me. Why in the world would you post that sign?"
The owner responded, "Because, before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him." |

I can relate to this. I often trip over my dog, Buddy when he's sleeping in the kitchen. |

dogs do really have a habit of occupying people's walkway, don't they? my husky does that all the time, too. but i guess that's only because he liked our doormat so much. |

@Eleni
You're totally right there. Some dogs beat their owners to the couch and once they're comfortably settled there, they wouldn't even budge. |

I used to always trip on my dog, but now I'm more careful. Most of the time I move it out of the way and it just looks at me. |
