Hello everyone!
I just want to ask what flea treatments you guys use for your pets. I've been using frontline plus for a long time now, but I hear people telling me that K9 Advantix is better. Which is better, really? I want the best for my babies. Thanks all! |

hey hey! I've been using frontline for the longest time, too. I heard that there are better ones out there too but I'm kinda reluctant to change it. So far, its still working well. I'll change it if it's not effective anymore that they have probably developed some immunity to it or something. |

i normally just ask my vet which flea treatment is best but currently i also use frontline but i heard that k9 advantix and advantage are both good brands too. i guess which ever product works well for your dog then that should be your choice. |

| i personally prefer using frontline plus. i feel it works best for my dogs. i rarely see any flea or tick on my pet although i must admit that i haven't really tried using other brands so i can't really comment on their effectiveness. |

| hey, as long as it still works, why shift? if K9 advantix and frontline works works for your dogs, don't just shift. Price shouldn't just be only justification for shifting to other brands. |

Hello there!
I use Advantage flea control for my Shih Tzu and its quite effective. Each application works fast for my pet and can be effective up to a month. And what I like about Advantage is that it's water-resistant so that it kills fleas even after I shampoo or bathe my pet.

Frontline works for my Yuki but i also used Advantage before and it worked well, too. I switched to Frontline because the comparison table here at Petshed showed that Frontline Plus was effective not only in getting rid of fleas but of ticks as well. Advantage, on the other hand, only gets rid of adult fleas. |

Hey yah guys, I prefer using K9 Advantix because it effectively protects my puggle Jessie against fleas, ticks, and even lice. I also tried using other brands and they're good too, but I think K9 Advantix works wonders for her. I guess the effectivity of each product is relative and specific to every dog. You just have to choose which one best suits your pet.

there's a comparison table here at PetShed? i didn't know that.
anyway, looks to me like most people here rely on either advantage or frontline to get rid of pests in their pets. they must be really that good, huh? |

| If you've been using Frontline Plus for a long time, then I suggest you stick with it. I assume you stayed with Frontline because it's effective, so I see no reason to switch; why fix something if it ain't broken, right? |

| But what if the fleas develop an immunity to Frontline Plus? Don't you think that switching to K9 Advantix while it's early is better? |

| If frontline plus starts being ineffective, then that's the only time you should consider switching. I know what you're talking about but I think you shouild wait fr obvious signs of ineffectivity before even considering switching to another brand. |

Hehe, I'm sure everyone of us here doesn't want fleas! Carlito is right. If there are obvious signs of ineffectivity, then that's about the best time to switch flea treatments. Don't be rash. Like what I posted here before, I use Advantage and it still works great for controlling and preventing fleas on my pet. Others could be using Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix and these may also be effective for their own pets. What I'm saying is, as long as the product still works, why switch? |
