Hi there Gina, welcome to Pet Shed. Thanks for joining our forum! Smile Like most people, I was also scared at first but I eventually overcame my fear after I let a friendly tarantula crawl in my arm during one of my trips to the zoo.

There are tarantulas that are dangerous but the one I have is cool. Smile Watch out for Vasili's picture. And do keep posting. Smile

@Corey:

Whoa! Now that I don't like. No offense meant but cockroaches creep me out. I can't imagine having one as a pet.

Cockroaches for pets? That's the weirdest thing I've heard in a long while.

Well I have a beagle whom I call Wesley, a Persian cat called Brandy, and an Albanian horse named Prince Edward. I spend a lot of time with them and I love it! My husband and I take turns taking care of them.

I agree. To each his own, but this rule applies to all.
