| i got my dose of patriotism lately when i read 'bout war dogs, man, they fought alongside our soldiers in the last two world wars. dogs they are not just men's best friend they're comrades in arms too! 21 gun salute for them! rest in peace. |

| watched this TV docu 'bout dogs being left behind during the vietnam war and the turmoil in afghanistan. And the trainers felt bad that they were made to leav dem. its sad and cruel fate for such heroic dog soldiers. |

I didn't know that dogs were used during wars.
They really are man's best friends. Imagine them even helping us win a war.
I wonder if they gave Medals of Honor to those dogs. |

| they do give medals to war dogs, just as if they are regular soldiers. I'm not sure what they're called, though. |

Yeah, I remember watching this documentary about war dogs in Vietnam once. They were interviewing American war-hardened veterans about their experiences. When the soldiers were asked about their dog companions and how they felt about being forced to abandon them, they were suddenly very emotional; some even cried. It brought a tear to my eye  |
