my neighbor has this sweet white cat. i picked her up once and noticed that her eyes are of different colors. it's weird isn't it? or is it a common thing among cats?

actually that isn't so weird. it's called heterochromia. cats are not the only creatures who get different eye colors. humans can get this, too. as a matter of fact, there are celebrities who have heterochromia like Demi Moore (who has 1 green eye and 1 hazel).

Really? That's interesting, Eleni. I haven't noticed Demi's eyes having different colors. Maybe she wears contact lenses.

thanks for the information, Eleni! i've read up on heterochromia and i found out that vision is completely normal and this condition is not a medical problem.

heterochromia is also common among siberian huskies. these dogs usually have 1 brown eye and 1 blue eye.

I wouldn't want that. I don't like it when people look at me strangely, and I'm telling you, they will look at you if you have two different eye colors.

i don't think it would be that bad. imagine if you have heterochromia. just imagine your boyfriend telling you how pretty your eyes are.
boyfriend: "you have such beautiful 1 hazel eye and 1 blue eye.
you: thank you. oh, you're such a smooth-talker.

LOLZ! any girl will feel overwhelmed with such praises. but having two differently colored eyes don't appeal to me as much, i'd rather have the same color for both eyes. |

If your boyfriend starts to compliment you on your two differently colored eyes, shouldn't you worry? I mean, is it a normal thing with people?

it does look weird.. having two differently colored eyes. but it's also cool at the same time. do people with heterochromia have impaired vision?
this cat's eyes are really pretty. i wouldn't mind having a cat with heterochromia! _________________
