my emily is 6 mos old.. when do i transition to feeding her adult dog food? basset hounds grow really big and am rather confused when the adult stage begins..

Hi there! Dogs are puppies until they reach a year old. Puppy food contain a lot of protein that's needed for their health so it's wise to stick to em til they are a year old, then you move to the adult stage of dog food. Hope i was able to help! Very Happy

if you're really unsure, consult your vet first. i think he would know best when to do food transition on your dog. Wink
