cat people:

they already have a "famous dogs" thread here. so there's no reason we shouldn't make our own!

tell me all about the famous cats you know (either in fiction or in reality) from history, entertainment, etc.

i'll start with Bastet, who is the Egyptian cat-goddess of women, children, & the sun.

His name was partially derived from the Latin word for "lucky".

isnt' pepe le pew the skunk? i think the name of the cat is Penelope Pussycat. he mistakes Penelope for a cat.
