Ok, we are a community of pet lovers here. So...
do your dogs have their own nice bed or do they sleep on the bed with you?
My yorkies are so spoiled. They HAVE to sleep on the bed with me even if they have their own beds. They would not stop barking until I carry them up the bed! They even take up more space than I do! LOL! |

| I have a small chihuahua and i'm afraid I might just squish her if she sleeps on my bed. She has her own little bed though which is beside mine. My other dog however sleeps on my bed. She was my first dog and mighty spoiled at that! |

| No. My buddy's growin' to be a big boy. If I trained him to sleep on my bed when he was small, then i'd have a big problem later on. He might just hog all the space! lol! |

As a pup, Chiggy has been sleeping beside me. I bought his his own bed but since he got used to him sleeping on my bed, his bed just became an unused furniture. If I donn't bring him up the bed, he would keep on barking and would not stop til i bring him up. Spoiled boy! |

Nah, I don't let my Bulldog Buster sleep on my bed. First of all, he snores. LOL! Next, he drools! LOL! Yes, adorable to the chicks and all. but if my bed's full of dog drool, now that won't be so adorable eh? |

| I always find time to let my puppy sleep in my bed whenever I'm not too tired from work. However, i always make sure he had his anti-flea shampoo. No, I don't want to count fleas while I am counting sheeps. It's not going to be a good way to sleep. My favorite pup running and jumping along with a flock of sheep. Now, that is a sweet dream. |

| my black and golden retrievers are too big! three's really a big crowd on any bed. early on, somebody gave me an advice about not having dogs sleep in my bed. any allergy i might develop (the allergen doesn't have to come from the dog or of the dog) would likely mean teaching them something again, like how to sleep in another place and i'm too busy to teach them anything. |

| my girl's two dogs sleep in her bed, watch tv from her bed, play in her bed and sometimes also fight in her bed. that's why she seldom makes her bed coz she knows it will always be in a mess once her dogs enter her room |

I made a post here before. I think I'll have to make a sort of a retraction. I still don't train my Buddy, he's a lab, to sleep on my bed but lately he's grown a liking to it. Sometimes when I enter my room I find him soundly asleep, comfortably on my bed. I just let him be. Hey, my dog deserves whatever he wants, right? |

Well I bought my dogs their own beds. I like having my bed all to myself! And besides, I'm a bit fussy, my dogs have to be really clean, tick- and flea-free before they lay on my bed. |

| When I just had two dogs, they both slept on my bed along with my 4 cats. When I added my third dog, he wouldn't let the cats on the bed anymore. I've since added a fourth dog so now I have 4 dogs that sleep with me. Occasionally, one of my cats will get brave and sneak on to the bed but she has to sleep above my head on my pillow. |

| yes, i occasionally let my dog share my bed but i first make sure that he's clean. so, we have this "before-bed-ritual" which i think makes my lab feel more pampered. |

|
|
| well i for one would let all of them sleep in the bed, but my guy is not having it he is so not a animal person period. He thinks animals are so dirty no matter of the bathing ect, since they go outside he thinks they carry everything in from outside as well and then doesnt want that in bed with us. we debate over this and he wins so they are stuck on the couch. any ideas to sway his point of thinking? i guess some people are not meant to love animals like us i guess. |

kellee, maybe your guy just doesn't want your pets to interfere with your private time together. Hehe. why don't you try taking your guy with you when you walk your dogs? Maybe he'll discover pets are fun to be with, too! |

Hey, hey that's a good suggestion beatrice! Yes Kellee, allow for more opportunities for your partner and your pets to spend time together. Who knows, that might do the trick! |

I completely agree with Beatrice and Angela. You and your partner should walk the dogs together. This will give you and your partner more quality time to spend, plus it will give your partner the opportunity to get to know your beloved pets. That's two birds with one walk, err, I mean stone I'm quite sure they will eventually grow on him, unless he has a heart of stone, that is. Try it and tell us how it goes |

yes kellee, encourage your partner to spend more time with your pets. if he doesn't really want them in bed with the two of you, then let him be. he might want to bond with them while doing other activities such as having a picnic and playing outdoors, or walking around. dont give up, he might eventually like them. |
