my niece just got a two-month old kitten. how often do we have to deworm her pet?

according to an article here in petcyclopedia:
"Kittens should be treated for intestinal worms at six, eight, ten and 12 weeks of age, then monthly until they are three months old, then at least every three months throughout life."

i agree with libby here. my vet told me the same thing. i get my cats to take dewormers every after three months. so far, no worms!

consult your vet before you give that kitty any wormer! i remember a neighbor who gave his one-month old kitten a wormer and it died after a week!

poor kitty! before we use any medicine on our pets we should ask a vet first. and it would be good if we read up on worms and treatments, too. there are a lot of information here in pet shed that could help us.

if only our neighbor followed his vet's advice, that kitty would've been a healthy cat today.

do we deworm out pets all throughout their lifetime? or only for a certain period of time?

cats need to be dewormed throughout their life. deworm them at least every three months.

as far as i know, yes! and this is because worms always re-infest our pets.
