"Properly trained, a man can be dog's best friend."
I find this quote both serious and funny. Seriously funny perhaps. But it cuts deep, isn't it? What do you think guys?

hahaha! i totally agree with you. sometimes it is us humans who need to be trained. we can learn so much from our dogs. like how to love unconditionally and being loyal.

Simon, when it comes to our pets, it's perfectly alright to be mushy.

Agreed. Friendship is a 2-way street; if a dog is man's best friend, then we should be their best friends, too.
Nice one, Joseph. |

| I agree. We should be a friend to dogs. Dogs never ask for anything in return for their loyalty and friendship; it's only fair that they get what they give. |

A dog that has lived with their owner all it’s life possesses a loyalty for their owner that is unwavering and immeasurable....that i think why most of us believe that their really are Man's bestfriend |

| TJ, not only that, but dogs are our best friends because throughout history they've helped us in so many ways like sheep herding, sledding, guarding and now they're even comforting old people in homes. No other animal can be that useful. |

Sasha, there are other animals that are can also be as useful as the dog. The difference lies in the dogs utter loyalty to its master -- whether it be a good or bad master. |
