If his breath is really bad and he is no longer a puppy, you probably should have your Vet check him out to rule out gengovitis. I give my dog a chew daily to clean her teeth. She's 6 yrs. next month and the vet said her teeth are in great shape. Of course, as I should have done myself, you should really brush your dog's teeth to prevent them from getting gum disease.

Daily brushing is the key to clean teeth and gums - just like humans. The Mavlab Dental Spray Gel (http://www.petshed.com/item/mavlab-dental-spray-gel) used with the Aristopet Oral Hygiene Kit (http://www.petshed.com/item/aristopet-oral-hygiene-kit) will certainly help, but to rule out any nasty causes of bad teeth it is recommended your chihuahua visit your friendly vet to get the all clear. A chihuahua with a tooth ache is no fun at all!
